Instructions for Alerts

Instructions for Alerts

There are now several delivery options for alerts:

  1. Text (SMS) direct to your phone
  2. Email
  3. Web Push Notification

You can enter one or more email addresses and/or mobile phone numbers, and/or configure Web Push, and OTA will send your alerts to all of them. Separate mobile number and email address(es) with commas.

See instructions for each method below.

By providing your email address or mobile number, you are agreeing to receive messages from the Option Trader's Assistant. Message frequency may vary depending on the alerts you set and Message and Data rates may apply. Remove your email address or mobile number and click "Save" to unsubscribe at any time. (See our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy).

Direct text (SMS)

To have alerts sent directly to your phone as text messages, enter your mobile number, beginning with country code (e.g., +1 for US).
Example: +1 804 555-1212
You can use the test button above to verify that your number is correct.

SMS text alerts will be sent from our alerts phone number, +1 877 915-4096
For best results, add this number to your address book or contact list.

Email directly

You can enter any email address to have your alerts sent to that address as regular email messages.

Web Push Notifications

Web Push Notifications will be delivered via your Web browser, which must be open, but you do not have to be logged-in to the Option Trader's Assistant. See Notifications on the menu under your name.

Warning

Email and SMS (text) message delivery is not guaranteed, and many SMS implementations provide no mechanism through which a sender can determine whether an SMS message has been delivered in a timely manner. SMS messages are generally treated as lower-priority traffic than voice, and various studies have shown that around 1% to 5% of messages are lost entirely, even during normal operation conditions, and others may not be delivered until long after their relevance has passed. Option Trader's Assistant is not responsible for any consequences of a lost or delayed alert or other notification

Password must be at least 8 characters, and can not contain your user name.
